Background:
PNDORAS BOX is led by Founder and Creative Director Ricky Shepherd II who has significant tech experience leaving behind a job at Hewlett Packard to build ownership and the home of the future for gamers and creators. I've always had an affinity for games and often used them as an outlet to escape reality growing up.
The metaverse isn’t just a passion project. I felt it was my job as a creator to help contribute to the world while inspiring and connecting people. I saw the negative press and feedback about the metaverse and wanted to right the ship.
PNDORAS BOX is inspired by 80’s and 90’s pop culture from novels such as Ready Player One to the book Snow Crash. As a surge of web 3 companies emerge, it's only a matter of time before players, creators, and companies' values as a community will have to align.
Ricky is a former HP technical lead and has an MFA (arts) background. He has had previous startup success including acquiring 40 paying customers in the 1st week of The Juice Box and doing $30k in sales within the first 6 months. He believes that the power and the stregnth of the metaverse lies within humans loving one another and connecting through freedom and inspiration of art.
A breakdown of $PNDORASCOIN Tokenomics
$PNDORASCOIN is an ERC-20 token and will be the official in-game currency behind transactions and player interaction in PNDORAS BOX. It will also be used to grant key voting privileges in our governance. Here are the 10 key parts that make up the token distribution:
Preseed – which is our earliest stage to not only help accelerate growth but develop the tech behind the token.
Seed – proceeds from seed private round will be used to further accelerate our growth, strengthen our product with new hires, and Increase staking & farming incentives
Public Sale– which is considered our launchpad to help us improve our governance, DAO, staking ability, and token protocol
Advisory– behind every great token there is a doxxed team or individuals with the know-how. We plan to not only use these proceeds to build out our advisory board, but put together a team that can execute that you can trust
Company Reserve– dedicated to unforeseen expenses such as marketing, airdrops, research and development, and press.
Creator Fund– a grant program that incentivizes artists and developers for contributing visually stunning content to the PNDORAS BOX game and ecosystem.
Foundation Fund– a reserve dedicated to helping strengthen and develop the token ecosystem
Staking– Is designed to reward token holders for staking coins longer, while incentivizing $PNDORASCOIN to keep their tokens within the ecosystem to create scarcity. Staking also provides governance and extra staking ability for active players

Team– represents the PNDORAS BOX team; the group of individuals that will go sleepless nights to bring you a great product
$PNDORASCOIN will be unlocked in a pre-determined schedule which lasts for 48 months from the public sale. The initial circulating supply is set to 50,000,000 or 5% of the total supply, from our Preseed sale.
$PNDORASCOIN will be used across the PNDORAS BOX ecosystem by gamers, developers, and creators, allowing avatars to exchange digital assets while earning rewards. These tokens can be acquired by creators, players, businesses, and investors. $PNDORASCOIN is scheduled to launch in July '22.

Token Burn Event: Burn event values will be updated periodically to show true metrics. Player's deaths and in-game purchases will result in a token burn to offset $PNDORASCOIN inflation
Our project was recently moved to Unreal Engine 5 to provide the best immersive, yet aestetically pleasing game experience possible. Our workflow consists of Metahuman, Quixel Bridge, UE5, and Blender to create. We also partner with various 3D scan artists to create efficient yet scalable large maps for world-building. Our goal is to create a seamless, yet immersive ecosystem where not only players but creators and businesses can unite as one community.
We plan to release our first pre-alpha on a layer-2 Ethereum late October '22, however . Pndoras Box early pre-alpha is available now upon request. We aim to provide a community with utility, value, and camaraderie. We also want to ensure each player can earn, trade, and create on a safe network which is why we intend to build on Immutable X.
Currently, the Ethereum network supports approximately 150,000 non-fungible token transactions per day at 30% network usage. Trades may fail on occasion, returning assets to owners instead of transacting, therefore the time to process is inconsistent. Some transactions can take upwards of an hour. This not only annoys users who are attempting to trade, but it can also cause problems for developers and businesses building on the network.
Immutable X is a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. It is an open-source ZK Rollup protocol built with the vision of generating a gas-free NFT ecosystem. Traders, gamers, and holders have found it increasingly difficult to buy on the Ethereum blockchain due to the high gas fees and delayed mint prices, this is where Immutable X comes in making the transaction seamless, and gas fees almost obsolete. The platform allows creators to build Dapps, games, and marketplaces while facilitating 9,000 transactions per second on Ethereum’s secure network.

Fees- Background of Immutable X fees
If you’re wondering what Zero-Knowledge Rollup (ZK Rollup) it is a layer-2 solution that bundles hundreds of transactions into one, which is then separated by smart contracts to verify each transaction. Immutable X solves the scalability problem of Ethereum by utilizing the ZK Rollup technology for its layer-2 protocol. To be more precise, it uses StarkEx, a proprietary ZK roll-up system that utilizes ZK-STARK for proof instead of ZK-SNARK. In terms of security, the ZK-STARK is more reliable as there is no need to worry about the method of encryption being compromised. Secondly, ZK-STARK is also more resistant to quantum computing attacks due to its random functionality in the encryption.
Immutable X wraps their ZK rollup inside REST APS to make building NFT applications easier, from minting to trading and transferring. This helps operations such as gaming build better initiatives faster without having to interfere with smart contracts. Therefore, this allows SDKs from various platforms the ability to interact with Immutable X more efficiently.
Immutable X’s ‘Link’ is a trustless intermediate layer that acts as the medium between any Ethereum wallet and the Immutable X protocol. This means that users do not have to switch networks in order to use the Immutable X protocol.
Immutable X has a core partnership between two entities in the blockchain and gaming industry, Immutable and StarkWare. Immutable was previously known as Fuel Games which is an Australian blockchain gaming company founded in 2018 by James Ferguson, Robbie Ferguson, and Alex Connolly. StarkWare Industries is a blockchain-scaling company based in Israel created by Eli Ben-Sasson, Uri Kolodny, and Michael Riabzev.
it earns its revenue through the collection of a 2% fee from trades executed on the protocol. Around 20% of the protocol fees collected must be paid in IMX. This fee can either be paid directly in IMX, or Immutable will automatically swap the actual purchase currency (e.g. ETH) for IMX on the open market. This means users do not need to explicitly hold IMX tokens to be able to transact on their protocol.
We announce quarterly any update of our next VLANDS Sale as well as provide weekly updates via Twitch and Youtube. In order to participate in our next whitelist or giveaway you must signup. We are launching VLANDS presale on June 1, 2022, to further fund our project PNDORAS BOX game. This NFT collection will represent Map 1 and 1,055 pieces of virtual land directly connected to the PNDORAS BOX game. 55 lucky whitelist participants will receive a VLANDS free mint to commemorate the May 6th launch. We are launching $VLANDS and $PNDORASCOIN tokens, as well as an incentivized staking pool in July 2022. Players in PNDORAS BOX are considered "avatars" or digi humans, as they are a digital reflection of their "true" self. You have the ability to customize and interact with other digi humans as you see fit, but the more popular you become and band together to form a guild as you take on the world
Death is as real here, as it is in our physical world, especially in High City. Each time a player falls casualty to a death 10% of his $PNDORASCOIN inventory is burnt in-game. If continuous deaths are dictated by one player avatars can ban together and slay them of their power and resources. Police drones and cops roam the streets to keep the city from dismay and crime and casualties to a minimum. The nicer the area, the more heavily guarded with security it is. High City has one of the top levels of security in-game.
We've created an open-world environment with different parcels of land known as VLANDS. Collectively each map represents our Ecosystem. Our goal is to allow players to experience different levels of difficulty as they travel various terrains portals while solving quests. The more VLANDS you collect the stronger your presence becomes in the game. VLANDS also provides a way for companies and creators to enter the metaverse by bridging the gap and barrier to entry.
High City is the first official VLANDS map released to the public. It is where avatars with high prestige and power lie. Highly sought-after digital assets and real estate are advertised like a typical metropolis. Meanwhile, vanity in High City is high while consciousness is low.
The Islands (May '23) is the homeland of Riccardo KIING and considered the lowlands or slums, where high mission difficulties reign supreme and consciousness is low. NPCs on the Island are considered to be shapeshifters or drifters due to their indecisive nature. They can become anything that they want to be except for what they are destined to become. Resources for your inventory as well as digital assets are scarce here.
Utopia (Q4 2023) is a mesh between High City and the Islands. It is a budding technologically-advanced city where humans coexist in harmony and some of the rarest digital assets are sought after. Players can only reach this level once they have accumulated enough strength and resources to travel throughout the game.

PNDORAS BOX is a simple open-world concept where you either travel by vehicle or on foot. Once you have selected your mode of transportation you will then port into High City from there you will be instructed by your guide (bartender) on which path to choose as you develop an awareness of your character and surroundings.
In order to play PNDORAS BOX, you must first buy or receive VLANDS NFT through our premint or giveaway list. Unless you are a beta tester. Each NFT holder will receive a copy of PNDORAS BOX first playable which allows them to see their property purchase in real-time, while also allowing them to explore a brave new world with friends. There are only 1,000 slots available. Holders will also receive a special invite to our private group in discord.
After you have received a copy you can fully explore the lay of the land ahead of our pre-alpha release (Sep ’22). Exploration includes traveling in your hovercar and viewing great themes such as High City, OASIS Beach, and the Business District.
The first playable is a first look for VLANDS NFT holders. We want to build trust and transparency as we provide in-game updates en route to our roadmap ahead of our Pre-alpha release. allow our game to develop that’s why we're giving you an inside look ahead of our Pre-Alpha release. Our Pre-alpha however will allow your avatar to earn passive $PNDORASCOIN by staying in the game longer and completing missions.
once you’ve collected $PNDORASCOIN head over to The Juice box, which is a club in-game where the who’s who meet. From there you can purchase threads and attire to boost your attire. It is also where your guide (Bartender) will be waiting for you.
Venture off into a new world, be anyone you ever dreamed you could be, and complete tasks through 4 unique maps as you build up strength to face the ruler, Riccardo KIING in quest mode.
100 Diamonds will be scattered throughout PNDORAS BOX between map1 and map 2 (May '23) which will grant players the right to sit aboard our DAO council and help sprout new ideas and direction towards game development. Players can collect these easter eggs by solving some of the game's most difficult tasks.
Things may affect the outcome or priority of our roadmap including virality, traction, and breakthrough discoveries. Our goal for the roadmap is to provide weekly updates while receiving feedback from the community. Having a timeline helps us provide insight while reaching our milestones as we aspire for exponential growth.
